Alkumatkasta, syyskuun 17, tapasin ranskalaispariskunnan. Heidän haaveissaan oli elämänmuutos. Aikaa vaeltamiseen oli määrättömästi, sillä molemmat olivat irtisanoutuneet töistään. Kun tapasin heidät, he olivat kävelleet jo lähes tuhat kilometriä Ranskan Grenoblesta Espinaliin. Edessä oli vielä 800 kilometriä Santiagoon. Pääsivätkö he perille? Entä kävelivätkö he vielä takasinkin tuon 1750 kilometrin paluumatkan?
Kyllä. He pääsivät perille Santiagoon reilussa kuukaudessa.
Lainauksia Sophien viestistä.
”We arrived in Santiago on the 19th October. We have met a lot of people of many countries and made friends. Pilgrims were much younger than in France. We have shared some diners with international and unexpected groups, each one cooking or bringing something to eat.
We walked through the dry fields, the flat Meseta (5 days of rain!) and the wonderful Galicia (full of chestnut an apples to cook and share!).
Arriving in Santiago’s cathedral for the pilgrims mass was a great moment, full of melted feelings: the joy to have succeeded to go to the end, the thought to see friends and family in France after 2 months and a half on the roads, the sadness to know that all this adventure was over and that we had to separate from our friends.”
Takaisin Ranskaan he palasivat kuitenkin bussilla.
”We didn’t walk back, we took a bus, because we felt that it was the end for us.”
Entä elämänmuutos?
Uusiksi meni työ ja asuinpaikka.
”Now, we changed our works, we moved from our area, and we are living in the mountains near Switzerland. We really want to keep the contact with nature and live simply. My own faith is stronger since the way.
We often see little blue and yellow shells which are showing the way in some villages we pass through or see places were we began and it seems so strange, like a nice dream I would have done…
Good luck for your blog and Ultreïa (”go further”)!”
